"Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) is a service which provides support to people suffering with mild to moderate problems of anxiety, depression and related problems. In Barnet, treatment programmes offered include therapy and counselling and the Richmond Fellowship provides support to individuals wishing to access employment and training opportunities. As the Employment Support Co-ordinator within the Barnet IAPT Team, I work with service users to provide careers advice and guidance, support with entering employment and support with retaining employment for service users who are currently in work but absent with sickness. We can also help people access training course and volunteering placements as well as set up their own business."

"The Network and Richmond Fellowship have joined forces to work in partnership to support people with mental health issues living in Barnet to get into employment. This Started on 26th April 2011 and will run until 31st of march 2012, a dedicated RF Employment Advisor works closely with The Network for 3 days per week.
The benefits of this partnership has strengthened the existing links between our teams and has meant that those who are keen to gain paid employment will be able to access RF's employment specialism whilst receiving support from The Network's Key Workers and Community Access Workers, and Mental Health professionals from BEH MHT.
Individuals accessing this project need to be able to manage their health effectively, be focused on gaining paid employment and be committed in attending the weekly job clubs run by Richmond Fellowship's Employment Advisor." Aneela Gregory - Senior Employment Adviser
